MOU Signed for the 32nd General Conference of The WFB in Japan

On 14th May, delegates of the Japan Buddhist Federation (JBF) led by Rev. Gakuei Wada (Secretary-General), Rev. Takaaki Tomioka (Director of International Affairs), and Rev. Juin Inden (Secretary of Public Relations) visited The WFB Headquarters for the Signing Ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) regarding the organization of the 32nd General Conference of The WFB in Japan in B.E. 2571 (2028).
The ceremony was presided over by Mr. Phallop Thaiarry, President of The WFB. The MOU was formally signed by Rev. Wada, representing the JBF, and Mr. Montian Thananart, Secretary-General, representing The WFB.
The delegates received a warm welcome from The WFB executives, including the President, the Secretary-General, Mrs. Kanchana Soonsawad (Vice-President), and the Directors of The WFB.
The 32nd General Conference is tentatively scheduled to be held from 10th – 14th September B.E. 2571 (2028) in Tokyo, Japan.
Prior to visiting The WFB Headquarters, the JBF delegates traveled to Phuket Province to pay their respects and inspect the memorial monument dedicated to those who lost their lives in the Tsunami disaster of B.E. 2547 (2004).
During the visit, Rev. Wada also extended a formal invitation to Mr. Phallop, President of The WFB, to attend the 70th Anniversary Celebration of the Japan Buddhist Federation, to be held in Japan in B.E. 2570 (2027).
