The 16th International Forum of NGOs in Official Partnership with UNESCO

15th to 16th April B.E. 2567 (2024)
The WFB Executives@UNESCO attended the 16th International forum of NGOs in Official Partnership with UNESCO, which was convened in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire, from 15th to 16th April B.E. 2567 (2024), it brought together a diverse group of NGOs, experts, and stakeholders to explore the theme of “Sustainable Cultures” and its implication for global development.  Throughout the event, numerous NGOs presented their initiatives and activities, illustrating the intricate links between culture and various domains, such as its role in global citizenship education, climate action, and intercultural dialogue.
Moreover, panelists highlighted the significance of cultural practices in fostering ecological balance, enhancing community well-being, and preserving cultural diversity.  They emphasized the necessity of inclusive governance, protection of cultural liberties, and the promotion of creativity and cultural entrepreneurship.
Conclusively, the forum underscored culture’s pivotal role as a catalyst for development and stressed the imperative for collective efforts to leverage its potential for positive transformation. Participants reaffirmed their commitment to advancing sustainable cultures globally and pledged to continue collaborating towards shared objectives.
